Kelly Comerford
I'm an interactive designer and art director with over 20 years experience. I have a B.F.A. from the University of Buffalo and M.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design. I am interested in sharing my experience as a designer and developer of interactive media to others from a point of view that is unique. My background in the fine arts coupled with corporate experience gives me a perspective that bridges the gap of commercial and fine art.
One of my most challenging projects was the software designed for NASA, which is currently on the International Space Station. This piece is an onboard proficiency enhancer (OPE) called ADUM (Advanced Diagnostic Ultrasound in Microgravity.) The astronauts are not experts at ultrasound, but the ADUM CD gives them "just in time" training on organ location and ultrasound scanning techniques for medical exploration in space.
